当我六十四岁时
这首歌的曲子Paul大概15岁的时候就有了，那个时候还有了Vera Chuck & Dave那几行歌词。
Paul是在自己家里的钢琴上创作的，他认为曲子的风格类似那种在酒店里的歌舞表演。
很多年以后，Paul才把词给添上。
当时正逢他爸爸Jim的64岁生日。
年轻的Paul当时说，他不能想象自己也会变得这么老。但今年，Paul也64岁了……
可以注意一下这首歌的录制时间，比其他歌都要早得多，并不是一个时期录制的。
Martin不怎么喜欢这首歌，以及同一种风格的Lovely Rita，觉得比较弱。
Beatles本身也不认为这是什么特别好的作品。
但这首从歌词到歌曲都十分可爱的歌受到了很大范围的欢迎。后来同类型之作《Ob-La-Di Ob-La-Da》甚至还达到了Top 1。
